Joseph Adan Oliveros Gutiérrez

Second Year MA Spanish Student

Biography

Joseph Oliveros holds a BA in Spanish with a minor in History from the University of California, Riverside, and an Associate's Spanish degree from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. As a first-generation Latino student, Joseph is passionate about advocating for transfer students, having transitioned from a two-year college to a four-year research institution. He had the privilege of being an undergraduate instructor for CHASS Transfer First at UCR and was a former Honors student. His future aspirations include continuing to advocate for Latino first-generation students and transfers, with the goal of one day, God willing, becoming a Spanish professor.
