Biography

Katie received a BA in French and Italian from the University of Reading (UK), with a dissertation on the influence of the Troubadours and Provençal lyric poetry on Dante’s Vita Nova and Commedia. Her MA, completed at the University of Notre Dame, focused on the self-representation of Dante in the Vita nova, a topic on which she is expanding in her current doctoral research. Her general research interests include autobiography and life-writing, characterization, and subjectivity in narrative.
