Hélène Delabuis

Program

M.A. French and Francophone Studies

Research Interests

Hélène is from Rennes, the main city of a region called Brittany in the west of France. In 2014, she went back to College in the University of Rennes 2 where she pursued a degree in French Language and Literature. She is particularly interested in the field of poetry and the way the poet uses the word as an actual material, based on what Dante Aliguieri tells us in his Commedia when he mentions Arnaut Daniel as « il miglior fabbro ». Therefore, she has decided to focus her research for her thesis (mémoire) on the figure – the persona – of the poet comparing the works of Dante Alighieri, T.S. Eliot and Bob Dylan and how at some point French literature shaped their writing process.
