Genevieve Lyons

MA in Italian Studies

Research Interests

Genevieve Lyons grew up in Cleveland, OH. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Italian from the Univeristy of Notre Dame. Her primary focus was on U.S.-Italian relations during the Cold War. During her undergraduate years she was able to study abroad in Siena, Bologna and Rome. Genevieve is extremely happy to be back at Notre Dame and have the opportunity to teach undergraduate students the Italian language and culture. Her current research interests deal with the female figure in neorealist films and its connection to the political realities of the time.
