Research and Teaching Interests

De-colonial thought, 19th Century's Latinamericanism, Counterculture, Transborder Identities, Digital Humanities

I taught Venezuelan Literature from 2013 to 2018 in the Universidad Central de Venezuela. I also worked, with the cooperative ECL, in independent publishing, educational and transmedia projects aimed to engage young people in critical thinking and social change. My current research focuses on the origins of revolutionary Latinamericanism in the early 19th Century and its relation with contemporary Latin American counterculture and transborder identities.

I’m the editor of the street art book Alerta que salpica:paredes pintadas de América Latina, published by Ocho Libros in Chile, 2017.
