Biography

I hold a double bachelor's in Literature and Art History from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia). I have worked as a curatorial assistant and researcher for the Santa Clara and Colonial Museums in Bogotá, Colombia, two public institutions run by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia. My research interest is on the relationship between text and image in the Spanish American world during the Renaissance and Baroque eras. Also, I have explored how some representations of the Conquest of America on chronicles, travel books, and prints of the XVI and XVII centuries have a relationship with conceptions of gender and sexuality.
