M.A. Iberian and Latin American Studies

Research Interests

Ben Easton, originally from Akron, Ohio, is an M.A. student in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. Ben earned a B.A. from The University of Notre Dame in Spanish and English literature (2018), with two theses, respectively entitled “Los hijos bastardos de Don Juan: un estudio del personaje de Tirso, Molière y Lord Byron” and “ ‘A Web of Sense’: Narrative Structure and Aesthetic Import in Vladimir Nabokov’s Pale Fire.” His research interests focus on narratology in the novel and the strategies of resistance in the negotiation of the early modern subject in Golden Age Spanish literature.
