Research Interests

Andrew Grose, a student in the BA/MA program, is from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He graduated last year from Notre Dame as a pre-med and Spanish major, with a senior thesis on Salvadoran poet Roque Dalton. He hopes to begin medical school and public health studies in the fall of 2019. Andrew's interests include: the work of Dalton and other politically committed Central American writers, U.S. Latino poetry, memory politics, and biopolitics. Outside of studies, Andrew especially enjoys watching Spanish and Latin American film, learning about Catalan language and culture, and playing percussion.
