Biography

Professor Topash-Rios has taught Spanish language, conversation, and culture courses at Notre Dame since 1999. Since 2015, she has taught Community-Based Spanish in partnership with El Campito Child Development Center. She is currently Coordinator of Second Year Spanish. Professor Topash-Rios has reviewed a number of textbooks, including recent publications. She is a 2005 recipient of the Kaneb Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. Other professional interests include literacy and language development and the preservation of indigenous languages and cultures in colonized societies.
