Professor Reaves’ interests include Second Language Acquisition, French Applied Linguistics and Sociolinguistics. She is also interested in student motivation in language learning and language policy issues.
She is currently a PhD Candidate in French Linguistics from Indiana University Bloomington, where she also taught all levels of beginner and intermediate French language courses from 2012-2016. Professor Reaves has also taught for the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages (IUHPFL) from 2013-2015, helping Indiana high school students explore Brittany, France in an immersion program.
