Luis Bravo, graduate from our new PhD in Spanish, received his Eli J. and Helen Shaheen Graduate School Award in the Humanities on May 17 and graduated on the 18th. The Shaheen Award is the most prestigious prize in research bestowed on students that produce Notre Dame's most innovative doctoral dissertations. Luis's dissertation is "Poéticas de la liberación. La escritura de Ibero Gutiérrez y el 68 en clave latinoamericana" under the direction of Professor Maria Rosa Olivera Williams.
