In another effort to strengthen Notre Dame connections with Latin America, Professor Juan Vitulli will visit the Universidad Autónoma de México (CDMX). Due to his innovative research about Baroque culture in the Hispanic World, Dr. Vitulli has been invited by the Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas. In this occasion, Vitulli will teach a doctoral seminar titled “Junto a lo clásico, lo nuevo. Lectores, predicadores y poetas en el Barroco de Indias”. During his visit to the UNAM, Vitulli will also present part of his ongoing research project. The title of the presentation is “Cuatro tratadistas en busca de un predicador ¿criollo? Notas para un estudio sobre la predicación barroca en el mundo hispanoamericano."
