Professor Botero's class Immigration and the Construction of Memory participated in the many events in February 2018 around the visit of activist Dolores Huerta who with Cesar Chavez created the United Farm Workers Union (UFW). At age 87 she is still fighting today for equality and social justice through community organizing and non-violent activism. She coined the saying: “Si, se puede! Si, se puede!”
