Prof Carlos A. Jauregui, Associate Professor of Latin American Literatures and former DGS of the Department of Romance Languages has been elected to a five-year term on the Executive Committee of the forum LLC Colonial Latin American of the Modern Language Association of America, for the period 2019 -2024. As the Executive Director of the MLA, Paula M. Krebs, indicated, this election "reflects the confidence of colleagues" in prof. Jauregui's field.
