Professor Encarnación Juárez-Almendros has successfully organized the Chicago's 18th Annual Cervantes Symposium at the Newberry Library.

In this event, Professor Deborah Forteza (RLL Alumni) and our Ph.D. Candidate, Valeria Mora-Hernandez presented their talks among other six renown scholars dedicated to Cervantes Studies.
Chicago's 18th Annual Cervantes Symposium provides a forum for scholars throughout the United States to share and discuss emerging research on Cervantes's works. The talks incorporate innovative approaches to Cervantes's texts, such as disability studies, cognitive methodologies, audible cultural practices, consumers of texts, animal language, pedagogy, rhetoric of emotions, opera, and violent communication.
