Notre Dame's Professor Vanesa Miseres brought her students to Holy Cross' immersion first grade to do a messy and delicious project introducing students to Pablo Neruda's odes. Here is a video on Professor Vanesa Miseres food and literature class visit to a first grade class there.On this occasion, the class visited the classroom, ND and Holy Cross students read together Chilean poet Pablo Neruda's Odes to the tomato and onion and we made cocoa and oatmeal truffles ("bombones" in Spanish). They wrote their own odes to the "bombones" as you will see at the end. It was a wonderful immersion for both our students and the children of the SB community.
