This seminar is part of the series, The Three Crowns: Texts and Contexts of Medieval Italy. New Books in Italian Philology and Literature, First Edition: Dante 2021.

In this seminar, participants will discuss the recent publication of Dante e la cultura fiorentina. Bono Giamboni, Brunetto Latini e la formazione intellettuale dei laici, edited by Zygmunt G. Barański, Theodore J. Cachey, Jr., and Luca Lombardo (Rome: Salerno editrice, 2019).

Zygmunt G. Barański is R. L. Canala Professor of Romance Languages & Literatures at the University of Notre Dame and Emeritus Serena Professor of Italian at the University of Cambridge.

Theodore J. Cachey Jr. is Professor of Italian, Albert J. and Helen M. Ravarino Family Director of Dante and Italian Studies, and Co-Director of the Center for Italian Studies a the University of Notre Dame.

Luca Lombardo is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia.

The series is organized by Italian Studies affiliates, Dr. Chiara Sbordoni of the University of Notre Dame's Rome Global Gateway and Dr. Luca Lombardo, who holds a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the University of Toronto for the VERTEXTCULT project and is a former Devers Postdoctoral Fellow in Dante Studies at the University of Notre Dame's Rome Global Gateway.
