French and Francophone Studies Presents Daniel Picouly

A renowned French author of award-winning novels and books for adolescents, Daniel Picouly is also the charismatic animator of literary and cultural TV programs in France (picouly.com).
Raised in a family of 13 children whose father was born in the French overseas department of Martinique, Daniel Picouly exemplifies the richness and talents of culturally diverse people in France.
During his visit at Notre Dame, Daniel Picouly will both give a lecture on creativity and perform a sketch from his 2012 book, a one-man play entitled La Faute d’orthographe est ma langue maternelle (spelling mistakes are my native tongue), which has had rousing success in France.
Both events are free and open to all.
