Biography
I am a Colombian writer, cultural manager, and editor whose work moves between literature, cultural projects, and education. I hold an M.A. in Literature, summa cum laude, from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a B.A. in Cultural Studies and Management from Universidad EAN. Over the years, I have coordinated reading promotion programs, curated editorial and cultural agendas, and led creative writing workshops in a variety of contexts. My work includes collaborations with cultural institutions and independent projects, fostering spaces for dialogue around literature, culture, and their practices. My literary career has been recognized with national grants and awards, including the Creative Writing Workshops Grant from the City of Medellín (2025) and the IDARTES Publication Grant (2023) for my book of essays Separar las cosas del piso (Biblioteca el Sol, 2023). I also contribute essays and articles to local cultural publications.
Research Interests
My research focuses on the poetics of writing and the intersections of Latin American non-fiction prose, experimental literatures, and creative practices. I am particularly interested in how fragmentary forms challenge conventional narratives and open new possibilities for rethinking authorship, subjectivity, and publishing dynamics. My work centers on 20th- and 21st-century Latin American literature, approached through literary criticism and interdisciplinary methodologies that explore and expand the possibilities of what literature can do. My teaching interests include creative writing, poetics of writing, and reading workshops that bridge critical analysis with the exploration of the writing process, inviting students to approach reading and writing as intertwined acts of discovery.
