Professor Werner, the recipient of a 1982 AATF summer scholarship to study at the Université Laval, in Québec, has been teaching in the Department since 1989. She is interested in Second Language Acquisition at all levels.
In 2006, Professor Werner received a Kaneb Award for faculty in recognition of her outstanding contributions to undergraduate education.
