Biography

Samantha Civitarese is a first year MA student in Italian Studies at the University of Notre Dame. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies at the University of Calgary in Canada.

Samantha’s research interests include investigating medieval Italian literature through a gender studies lens as well as understanding the role of women in Italian Neorealist cinema. She is also passionate about second language acquisition and pedagogy.
