Lauriane Guihard

Research Interests

Currently in her second year of Master's degree in French Literature at the University of Notre Dame, Lauriane Guihard comes from Brittany (France) where she graduated from the University of Rennes 2 in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Literature. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Rennes 2 with a Bachelor's degree in Literature and in History. Concurrently with her studies, Lauriane is also working as a tutor and a Teaching Assistant in French at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested in French theatre, and she is working on her dissertation on the chorus in French tragedy from the Renaissance to the 17th Century. She has already took part in a seminar on romance philology which was held at the University of Rennes 2 in March 2015, and in a graduate Symposium at the University of Notre Dame in April 2016. She also often publishes articles in the student newspaper of Rennes 2, and has published her first academic article in 2016. Eager to learn, Lauriane looks forward to pursuing a doctorate.
