Professor McPeak is a specialist in Foreign Language Pedagogy, Video-Based Foreign Language Instruction, French Polynesian History and Culture, and Phonetics. A member of the Notre Dame faculty since 1989, she has taught Foreign Language Methodology, French Phonetics, "Tahiti and Other French Islands of the Pacific", and beginning and intermediate language courses in French and Spanish. She received the Kaneb Teaching Award in 1999 and in 2005.
