Biography

With a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, a Master's degree in English Teaching Methodology from the Benemérito Instituto Normal del Estado and a second M.A. in e-Learning from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, both with honors.

With almost 20 years of experience in the area of teaching English as a foreign language at a higher level, she has worked in the public sector at the Universidad Politécnica de Puebla for 7 years developing academic programs of English for specific purposes (ESP) in the area of biotechnology and computer science and at the Benemérito Instituto Normal del Estado within the master's degree program she studied, teaching content subjects as a professor. In the private sector, she joined to work at the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla since 2011, first as a by-the-hour professor and since 2018 as full-time professor.

She has been certified as a supervisor in the application of the TOEFL ITP exam and as an administrator in the application of the TOEFL IBT and GRE exams. She also has been certified with the TKT modules with bands 3 and 4.

In teaching, she has experience with different types of subjects and areas including Spanish as a foreign language, English as a foreign language, Cultural Diversity, Teaching Methodologies, Technological tools in Teaching Languages, and Curriculum Design. She has also participated in different process of Curricula design and redesign. In recent years, she has also designed coaching courses for professors who teach content classes in English as a Lingua franca. She was also responsible for the creation of courses in Miriada X from 2019 to 2021. Currently, she is participating in a faculty exchange program between UPAEP and the University of Notre Dame.
