Virginie Askildson

Maîtrise in English/German Applied Linguistics, University Paul Valéry, Montpellier (France); M.A., in French Second Language Acquisition, Florida State University; Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, University of Arizona

Professor Askildson, a native of France, specializes in Foreign Language Pedagogy and Program Administration as well as French Linguistics. Her current research also includes language teaching materials design and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). She has taught and supervised French language programs as well as a number of teacher training courses. In the spring 2008, she received the Graduate Teaching Award from the College of Humanities at the University of Arizona.
