Research Profile

Professor Boyer studies early American literatures in a comparative context, focusing on Spanish- and Anglo-American colonial literatures. His thematic interests include law and literature as well as the convergence between the literary and the psychoanalytic. Boyer has served as Executive Editor of the Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities, and has been actively involved in the Association for the Study of Law, Culture, and the Humanities. He was awarded a Yale Prize Teaching Fellowship in recognition of his contribution to undergraduate education.
