Research Profile

David Lummus is Assistant Professor of Italian at Stanford University and is on sabbatical at the University of Notre Dame for the 2016-17 academic year. He has written extensively on Giovanni Boccaccio. His research interests include politics and poetics in fourteenth- and fifteenth-century Italy, medieval and early modern mythography, and Latin bucolic poetry.
