Ana Fauri has been invited to be a guest lecturer for the Portuguese Beyond Borders Institute at Fresno State & the Foundation for Luso-American Development (FLAD) as part of an initiative to celebrate the 100 years of the Portuguese Nobel prize in Literature, Jose Saramago. In this lecture she will talk about the literary work by Saramago and discuss the clashes between character identity and the fictional representation of historical realities in his novels. The conference will be in English.
